I'm a Crazy Dog-Lover, Buying My Dogs Crazy Stuff

From dog toys to new vitamins to try. If there's a kind of shopping I go crazy on, it's definitely for the dogs.

Even I believe I've spoiled them too much on these dog treats and toys I buy. Take Walkies, for instance. Walkies cost about $5 or 199 ph. It may not sound much, but that's equivalent to a two fastfood meals for a single person enjoying a day out.

And then, there's the occasional toy splurge.

Some toys don't get to see the next day. These types of toys last about 15 minutes before they're totally devoured. LOL. Sure Buy Pet Toys (89 php or $2.23)

Shoe squeaker (30 php or $0.75), Muffy Ball Squeaker (99.75 php or $2.5), & Just Play! Round Dog Squeaker (90 php)

Pawsize dog squeakers, Kong AirDog medium-sized tennis balls (210 php or $5.25), dog hand brush, the occasional leash (about 120 php or $3) and collar (50 php or $1.25), and Bayer Advantix (1500 php/ box or $37.50)

Of course, instead of bringing me gifts, some people have taken it upon themselves to buy my dogs toys instead. Bless their souls. ^__^

And here's my favorite combs and dog fur paraphernalia brand. I have two Doggyman scissors and a brush. Maybe next time, I'll add to my arsenal once they go on sale again.

This pet comb has a little ring at the back to retract the yellow portion of the comb. It's like a Petzoom brush. I got it on sale for 360 php or $9.

In the health department, there are just some things I can't do without. For instance, I always have Drontal's puppy dewormer in my stash. I also have Gold Medal's Clean Eyes eye drops (to cleanse Buchi's eyes twice a day) and their wound cream.

Pet Express at SM Mall of Asia

I'll make this short and sweet... lots of pictures and not much text. In my last post, I had talked about the new clippers we got from Pet Express at SM MOA. Well, here's a short tour feauturing one of the biggest pet stores in the Philippines.

The SM Mall of Asia is currently known as the largest mall in the Philippines and the world's third largest  mall.

This is the Pet Express' front entrance at SM Mall of Asia.

Guess what our first stop was. Dog Toys!!! And Kongs!!! We even came across a tiny Shih Tzu pup who was quivering and barking at the latex dog toy we were squeaking.

I took a picture of their Vitamins section. I like that they have the word "Ask Our Vet" which can be very helpful for new cat and dog owners.

When I train Chooey to do tricks, this is where I often buy dog treats. Fortunately, our personal favorite, veggie-flavored doggy biscuit treats are always on sale.

Silly Saturdays: Pressies and Dog Show Teaser

Dear Bloggy Friends,

Once again, I would like to thank everyone who has visited our page. We have been quite busy. This week, I  got sick and I also found time to attend the 139th to 144th Iloilo Kennel Club, Inc. All Breed Championship Dog Show... which I took so many pictures of (all of which where defective except for a couple of ones I am able to salvage with the help of Photoshop).

So now, let us start with what my other beloved sister has sent me. Pressies!!! Not for me... but for the pack.

Two bottles of Angel Drops Vitamins and our first Kong AirDog Toys!!!

Angel Drops Calcium Aid was given to Peanuts while she was a growing puppy. I guess it must be one of reasons why she's so TALL. She's supposed to be a JRT and Min Pin mix but she's taller than Ginger! Peanuts looks more like a Greyhound-bodied Terrier-looking dog rather than a Miniature Pinscher Mix.

What about the Kong Toys? Did they like it? You be the judge.

Peanuts even had the guts to take Chooey's squeakers!

Mommy Got Me Some New Stuff

First of all, I apologize for my master's late posting of the previous blog (including this one). It was supposed to be posted before the internet connection got all crazy.

Typhoon Ondoy has devastated a lot of lives-including mine. In addition to almost drowning, I also got hungry, wet, cold and dirty. I also lost some of my valuables which I requested- by barking two nights long- be replaced.

Demanding Much? Nuh-Uh! I'm not an adult dog to be contented only of my master's love and affection. I'm a seven month old puppy fighting for what I deserve. I have specific needs, too!

During Ondoy's onslaught, my collar, leash, vitamins, puppy chow, water bowl, and metal comb got flooded away. We tried to find it but to no success. So instead of grieving on the losses, Mistress bought me some new stuff.


I'm sure the picture will suffice. P.S. I included the prices for convenience. All the items were purchased in Robinson's East (Handyman and Pooch "Park or Sumthin")

Sarcoptic Mange

Sarcoptic mange, commonly known as canine scabies, is caused by the parasite Sarcoptes scabiei. They are contagious to human at a different strain. This is how it looked like when viewed at the microscope. They just kept swimming and swimming under the lens. (Of course, my vet and master was the one who was able to view this, not I.)

So my vet gave me the following since I was just a 2 month old puppy and I couldn't be given any strong scabicides.

1. Vitamins (LC VIT- 60 ml/ 120 php)
2. Antihistamine Syrup (80 php)
3. Antifungal soap (Dr. Kauffman)- since I was too small, too weak and too young for the real thing.

Was that all? YES!!! And she told my master that it will all depend on the her patience towards my battling this ailment.
