Mischief Monday: Catching Up

Well, this is more of an update rather than a separate Mischief Monday post. Of course, we will be tackling multiple mischievous events including my non-stop cough.

Mischief 1: I am still sick. After 3 days of body chills and aches, my sickness has died down to a non-stop cough-a-thon. SO WHO LET THE DOGS OUT?

Mischief 2: Guess who's up to mischief? My housemates! The mailman actually dropped by our house last December 5 with three letters from the card exchange list. My housemates didn't accept the mail because they weren't familiar with the names on the list... I mean, DUH, WHO WOULD SEND MAILS TO CHOOEY, RIGHT?

Mischief 3: I almost lost track of the awards being given to me by Lisa of DogsnPawz. Cotton also gave a very sweet award. THANK YOU TO THE BOTH OF YOU.

Before we go to those awards, here's a short intermission number from my one and only Chooey.

Back to our regular programming...

This Super Sweet Blogging Award is from our good old friend Lisa of DogsNPawz
The rules of this award state that...
  1. Give credit to the blog which nominated you.
  2. Answer the “Super Sweet” Questions.
  3. Pass award on to a baker’s dozen.
Questions:

Cookies or Cake? Cake!
Chocolate or vanilla?  Chocolate
What is your favorite sweet treat?  Polvoron! It's a Filipino delicacy made of milk, peanuts(sometimes) and peanut butter. (You could click on the link for its homemade recipe.)
When do you crave sweet things? Ask and I'll have to kill you
If you had a sweet nickname what would it be?  Chocolate (for Buchi), why? Because he's deadly and lethal.

I'm using the "Sick Card" for the Baker's dozen for now.

The Friendly Blogger Award was given to us by Cotton  and we'd like to thank HIM for that.
Phew! Finally, we are back in business. I hope I don't miss Wordless Wednesday. In the mean time, please drop by Snoops blog as his Mischief Master Class is now on paperback.

Silly Saturday: Procrastinating on Awards... Again

So I've decided to finally finish what was due a long time ago. I have two awards and a lot of stories to share but unfortunately, no pictures to show.

Anyway, let's cut to the chase and get back to business. The first award would be the One Lovely Blog Award.

The requirements for the One Lovely Blog Award are:
  • Thank the person who nominated you and link back to them in your post.
  • Share 7 things about yourself.
  • Nominate other bloggers you admire.
  • Contact your chosen bloggers to let them know.

The next award would be the...

The Beautiful Blogger Award requirements are:
  • To copy the Beautiful Blogger Award logo and place it in your post.
  • Thank the person who nominated you and create a link back to their blog.
  • Nominate 7 other bloggers for their own Beautiful Blogger Award.

First of all, we would like to thank Ian from Sheba's Life Story for these two wonderful awards. Forgive me for taking a long time to post it here.

Next, the seven things...

1. I love coffee. I have a habit of drinking cold coffee twice a day. My day feels incomplete without it.

2. My hobbies include watching Anime, Sci-Fi movies and TV series'. I am a big fan of Zombie movies, games and The Walking Dead. This all started when I first watched Resident Evil 1.

3. Chooey and Buchi are walking buddies on leash. Whitey simply follows us off-leash.

4. I miss Peanuts but I know she's in good hands. I asked for an update about her and the description given to me  was, "Her fur is green because she likes rolling over the grass and running all over the lawn.". I have yet to see how she looks like.

Awww, Peanuts! You're too smart for your own good.

5. I eat four meals a day. ^_^. Breakfast, lunch, snack time, dinner! The house I'm currently living in usually serves fish and vegetables, which is why I'm eating healthily right now.

6. The dog tricks Chooey knows are Sit, Up, Down, Bark, and Bang. Buchi knows Sit and Down while Whitey knows Sit  and Beg... Rin knows how to whine like she's talking.

7. According to my mom, Ginger, Coal and BD have grown fat. She wasn't aware she was feeding them too much. She thought the 2-3 cups of dog food was to be given every meal when it was meant for an entire day's consumption.

I would like to nominate the following awesome blogs. These bloggers are just some of my newest friends and I'd love to introduce them to everyone.

1. Susie and Sidebite. I have to admit, I hardly know what's in Susie's mind. I just love reading about them and seeing their Oh-So-Cute Scottie pictures.

2. Urbanhounds. This is one of the blogs where we can actually see who Mom and Dad are. All the little puglets, Bob, and Norby, of course, have such beautiful city adventures to share.

3. The Dougall Diaries. One of the newer family members of our blog community, Dougall and Floydie are such an adorable pair. The pictures in their blog are enough to give you a dose of doggy cuteness.

4. Scrappy of Yorkie Tails. IS A GIRL. Yes, dear friends, just like our adorable beloved Pip, Scrappy is also a Yorkie who is often mistaken for a little boy.

5. Fuzzy Tales. Even though I'm a dog lover, I do visit cat blogs, too. Nicki and Derry often post the best cat boxing/tussle/wrestling shots. That's enough to make my day.

6. Colby of Puppy in TrainingA lot of you are familiar with our puppy expert. If you need some puppy advice or are just in the mood of seeing many puppies wearing the cone of shame, his website is the place to go to!

And last but not the least...

7. Lisa of Dogs N Pawz. Dogs n Pawz is quite an informative site. It's a bloggy and webby combined. That said, I have to thank her for giving me the opportunity to read the Follow the Dog Home book I've reviewed recently.

Thanks again, Ian.

Mischief Monday: Procrastinating with Awards

Question: So Haopee, how many awards did you get before you decided to write this post?

Answer: A LOT!

List of Awards

First and foremost, I would like to thank each and every single being, human and pet alike who awarded these to me.

We have been awarded the Very Inspiring Blogger Award by Brando and Bogart, Dachshund Nola and Alison and Zoe from Pawfect Days.

The  Illuminating Blogger was given by Carolyn and Austin of Catachresis and Gronk and Izzie.

Lastly, the Sisterhood of the World Blogger Award! came from Poppy.

Two blogging awards (namely the Very Inspiring Blogger Award and the Sisterhood of the World Bloggers Award) had the same rules which required us to share 7 things about ourselves and pass it to 15 bloggers.

The Illuminating Blogger Award required us to share one interesting fact about ourselves and for it to be forwarded to 5 others. Due to short attention span constraints, we hope no one objects that the 1 fact and 5 bloggers are to be already included in the next segment of this VERY LONG POST.

With no further ado, we'd like to present our Creature Feature.

1. Haopee is a creature of coffee. This means that I'm willing to be paid in form of coffee beans and whipped cream.

2. Chooey is a creature of art. She dances in front of my mom to beg for food.

3. Peanuts is a creature of nature. When she hears commotion outside, she will scratch, whine and look at me hoping I'd let her out.

4. Ginger is a creature of food. She is food driven which means she can learn tricks faster than any of the dogs as long as she's rewarded with food.

5. Coal is a creature of noise. I seriously need to buy a pair of ear plugs. Coal doesn't bark-not once in his entire dog life, he only whines in this high pitched tone.

6. Brother Dog is a creature of fleas. Seriously, he still doesn't want us to touch him- or bathe him for that matter! He is the type who will only come close to his food when the coast is clear.

7. The last person in our creature feature is Haopee's Beau. Yes, you seldom hear about him but he exists. Haopee's Beau is a creature of patience. He puts up with all 6 of us.

Now, to distribute these wonderful awards to other bloggers, I would like to name 15 special bloggers who deserve them very much. And due to the fact that you may have receive these awards already, I would like to request that the rules be bent for the awardees to have the freedom to choose which of the three they prefer posting about.

1. Magic from Life in the Doghouse
2. Bella from Bringing Up Bella
3. Gronk and Izzie, the Two Toilet-Trained Kitties
4. Suka from Suka's Just Sayin
5. Nicki and Derry of Fuzzy Tales
6. Teddy and Sierra of Teddy's Tales
7. Molly the Wally and her Slog it, Blog it
8. Stewey of Stewey Unscene

One moment...Coffee and Sandwich Break ^_^. Kindly make yourselves at home with Peanuts intermission picture.

9. Sally, Luna and Charlie of It's a Weinerful Life
10. Oui Oui and Mica Minnie Moo of Twinkletoe Tails
11. Whisky, Tortie, Tutu and the Entire Crew of The Furries of Whispy
14. Dougall of The Dougal Diaries
15. Lastly, Cotton from A Tale on Cotton The Rescue Dog

Any questions? Violent reactions? No?

Good! Here, have a cookie!

Awards Sunday

Dear Bloggy Friends,

Let me grab this opportunity to thank the people who have given me these wonderful awards.

Yes, I will admit that I am guilty of procrastinating myself. So with no further ado, let me start with the Sunshine Award I have received from Freddie and Gloria, Poppy aka Popcorn, and Pixel Blue Eyes.

According to the rules of the Sunshine Award. I must follow these two criteria
  1. Answer the questions that come with it
  2. Pass it along to 10 people and let them know they have received it (I am unsure whether it were 5, 10 or 20, so I hope you don't mind me giving it to 11)

Blogs to pass this award to:

  • Tweedles - The poetic puggy who writes lovely poems about life and nature

  • Suka - Doggy adventures with a touch of panaromic views and art work

  • Teddy and Sierra- Two Eskies with camping adventures and a garden with lovely red strawberries

  • Tutu, Bernie, Whisky and the entire crew- They're cute, they're silly, they're composed of a dog, some cats, an amazing tripod bunny and two guinea pigs living in Malaysia.

  • Zoe - The dog of many water adventures. She's currently known for her floor skating.

  • Indy and Bogey - You probably know them through Pat, an amazing writer.

  • Sampson, Daisy Boo, Dante - They've been currently a bit busy to post in bloggerville but these three stooges can make you laugh so hard. Just check out Sampson's silly antics.

  • Tegan - She may not talk about her dogs the way we do, but if you want some serious advice about raising and training dogs, this is the place to go to.

  • White Dog Army - Read about Siku's adventures and inspirational posts while living with her army of Eskies (Quinn, Puff, Nuka, YoYoMa, and the newest member of their family Oso).

  • Magic (Real Name: Silversocks Sharade)- The first thing that caught my attention was the Gaelic names of Caoimhe and Aoife (pronounces as Kee-va and Ee-fa). But then you meet wonderful Magic (and her mums Leigh and Judith) and the affenpinchers... and the chickens.

  • Stewey -  Aside from being a cute Corgie, Stewey has a sense of style. Every dress-up post has a teaser picture that keeps us bloggers guessing.

Oh darn, I forgot about the questions. Okay let me see...

Favorite number:  13 (I was born in a Friday the 13th)
Favorite Non-alcoholic drink: Coffee
Facebook or Twitter: Facebook. I seldom open my Twitter
My Passion: Talking about, Thinking about, Dreaming about, Playing and Cuddling my dogs... Oh I fix computers, too
Favorite pattern: I'm a checkers person. But I can go with plain monochromatic hues.
Favorite Day of the Week:  Friday, there's no question there.
Favorite Flower:  Lotus, because I was named after it.

Another Liebster Award...

I would like to thank DogsNPawz for this latest Liebster Award. I will be  forwarding it only to two other blogs because I've already named 10 ^^.

  • Twinkletoe Tails - The amazing blog of Oui Oui and their mom-made beautiful kitty avatars.

  • Urbanhounds - Enjoy their urban adventures in the city. The newest member of their family is an adorable puggy named after Harry Potter's best friend, Weasley.

Wordless Wednesday: It's Not You, It's Me!

Have you ever had this feeling that your dog was no longer interested in you? Here's Buchi representing MyDogsLoveMe for the time being.

By the way, we got tagged by meowmeowmans. As much as I want to write a new post for the tagging, I am not among my pack so I wouldn't be able to convince/impose/bribe Coal and Ginger to participate. And if you're thinking Buchi sounds like an interesting specimen, it's pretty obvious that he just broke up with me.

Meowmeowmans, I hope you could accept the link to my tagged post and re-posting my number 10 answer here for you.
Animal Shelter Volunteer Life is a blog where you can get your fill of adoptable and adorable cats. Looking for a forever cat to love you? This is the blog to visit. We Got Tagged, Now We're Tagging 8!

I'd like to thank Dachshund Nola, Animal Shelter Volunteer Life and Higgins for tagging me. I broke the news to the entire pack but apparently, only Peanuts is interested. Coal and Ginger are a little busy doing guard dog duty and keeping me up all night by barking at any dog passerby.

So with no further ado, let us start with question number 1.

1. Describe yourself in 7 words.

Haopee: Happy, Procrastinator, Pessimist, Plump, Paranoid, Strict, Sappy

Peanuts: Guilty... Guilty...

Haopee: Guilty of what?

Peanuts: You got mad at me for peeing in grandma's room. So guilty... more guilty... guilty... so g... gu...gui... sleepy (yawn).

2. What keeps you up at night?

Haopee: Coal and Ginger barking up at 3 am in the morning.

Peanuts: Nuuuuthiiinnn....

3. Who would you like to be?

Haopee: No one in particular, but a dog expert.

Peanuts: Brother Dog!

Haopee: Why?!?

Peanuts: Because he gets to roam free anywhere, anytime, all the time.

Haopee: Do you want to have untreatable ticks and mange? May I remind you that he doesn't want to be touched.

Peanuts: Ah, that's where we are different. Just call my name and I'll be there. V(*^_^*)V

4. What are you wearing right now?

Haopee: A torn shirt!

Peanuts: A hand crafted sweater.

Haopee: There's no mistake on this particular entry. Check the proof below... It was really dark.

Not bad for my third attempt. LOL!

5. What scares you?

Haopee: Heights plus water is my deadly combo.

Peanuts: I go in a complete state of panic when, ummm... my poop ummm... still sticks on my bottom.

Haopee: (giggles)Then stop eating everything you see. You're not supposed to eat my hair, or that plastic rope you chewed on yesterday.

6. The best and worst of blogging.

Haopee: Best?!? Meeting different kinds of people from all kinds of life and locations. Reading stories and looking at pictures of other doggies all over the world who blogging like I do. Having that feeling that someone reads our posts and laugh at our silly mishaps.

Peanuts: Can I go now?

Haopee: I'll pretend I didn't hear that. Having too little time to respond to everyone and having a blogger's block once in a while.

Peanuts: Oh, a mouse!

7. The last website I visited.

Dachshund Nola and The Adventures of Higgins. And I still have them opened right now because I'm copying the Q&A parts. ^_^

 8. What is one thing I would change about myself.

Haopee: My being a procrastinator.

Peanuts: My brain, so that I won't be tricked anymore to going to the vet's place. Now I have a vaccine bump and it's not going away!

9. Slankets yes or no.

Haopee: Yes!

Peanuts: Can I use my big rag doll as a slanket?

Haopee: No, Peanuts.

Peanuts: It's a no for me.

10. Tell us something about the dog that tagged you.

Higgins is so mantastic that everytime I go visit his blog, that's the only adjective I can retain as it describes anything and everything about him.

Nola is beautiful. Her mom takes the nicest pictures. She's active and fun and she's like a greyhound with stubby legs while running.

Animal Shelter Volunteer Life is a blog where you can get your fill of adoptable cats. Looking for a forever pet to love you? This is the blog to visit. Meowmeowmans is one of those bipeds whose heart is set on rescuing kitties and making a difference by putting them into wonderful homes.

I shall tag the following:

CATachresis

Bichonpawz

The Chronicle of Woos

Whiskered Paintings

Life in the Doghouse

Yuki and Rocket

Charming Chi

P.S. Since I rarely talk about Peanuts on a first person basis. I hope having the others choose whether they are to talk about the human rather than a dog would be okay on item number 10.

2.5 Awards!!!

I apologize for not immediately posting regarding these 2.5 wonderful awards from two awesome bloggers.

I'd like to thank Helen P. of  Whiskered Paintings
So the first award would be the Kreativ Blogger Award from Helen of Whiskered Paintings, which requires me to say something creative about myself... Umm... Well... Okay... That's a tough one

Let me see.

1. I'm an licensed Electronics Engineer who'd rather talk about dogs and work on arts and crafts. However, I still troubleshoot computers and do house calls to earn extra money.

2. I watch anime and like playing RPG games in different consoles. I am guilty of playing my fair share of RPGs such as Resident Evil, Parasite Eve, Final Fantasy and Persona.  Like Helen, I've also spend countless hours in Pokemon Yellow, Crystal, Silver, Gold, Sapphire and Ruby.

3. My partner has this accurate radar on anticipating my mood swings. He can predict if I'm into laughing crazily, being extremely sappy, or cranky. And he loves that part of me. (*^_^*)

4. Some of my pets included fishes, love birds and a snake-neck turtle which escaped his pond during a really heavy rain. Poor Chipy Turtle, I'm still hoping someone found him, picked him up and made him their pet.

5. I love cheese! I mean seriously... pizza, cheeseburger, spaghetti and usually anything with cheese.

Now, I would love to share this award to the following bloggers.

Two Doodles and a Dane - Samson, Dante, Daisy Boo and mom's blog. Sampson is so funny. It seems that he hasn't realized that he's grown enormously through the months.

White Dog Diary Online - I personally love the effort placed on every post by White Dog Army and their mom.

When I Grow Up I Want to be a Vet - Doctor has the cutest comics skits.

24 Paws of Love - The current entries are about Blaze and how her husband has made a majorly hilarious discovery.

Whisppy - Not only do I love dogs, but I also enjoy reading about cats and their daily accounts. Boomer doesn't like sharing his house with stray cats. ^_^

Okay. This isn't done yet. So kindly bear with me while I'm in the middle of editing this post.

I'd like to thank the Charming Chi for passing me two more awards which I am passing as a 1.5 award due to the following reasons:  1) they're so tiny and 2) they're so tiny.

Thank you, Charming Chi

Since the Liebster means dearest, so I'm going to pass this award to 5 other people who I feel are dear to me.

1. Bowie - I still can't take the image of you wearing that little Korean dress out of my mind.

2. The Chronicle of Woos - Although I have to constantly look at the pictures of your four wonderful doggies to see who did the mischief this time, those pictures are just worth the effort.

3. The Emptynesters Family Daily - Debbie, I know you're guilty of making those cool Superbowl jerseys. Now, if you could only teach me how to fix my crocheted sweater.

4. Life with Desmond - Desmond, like any other dog, probably doesn't know he's comical personality just works wonders to his family's life.

5. Gracie Lu the Shih Tzu - Gracie Lu reminds me so much of Buchi... except for the dresses. Keep those adorable picture compilations coming.

Thanks again, Charming Chi

In order to accept the award, I have to pass it along 8 wonderful bloggers who are so PAWSOME as well. Here are the other blogs that bring me fun, love, laughs and furiendship.

I know some of you have already gotten it, but I wanted to re-share it with you because I just think you guys are so PAWSOME, too.

1. Fred and Gloria's Basset Momma

5. Dachshund Nola  - I've always wanted to pass an award to you.

6. Mantastic Higgins from The Adventures of Higgins

7. Leslie from Bringing Up Bella

Wow, it took me some while to compile this list. Thank you for taking your time reading my post. I know it was pretty long.

Two Awards!?!

So I was reading the responses for the previous post and got this as one of the responses from Dachshund Nola and Two Doodles and a Dane.

P.S. I've given you an award
Dachshund Nola
http://dachshundnola.blogspot.com/2012/01/award.html

We have nominate you for an award on our blog!
http://smilewithyourtail.blogspot.com/2012/01/big-thank-you-another-award.html
Slobbers
xxx

First of all, I would like to thank you guys for the two awards. It was pretty difficult for me to select the ones I would nominate the awards to because for one, I wanted to spread the love and second, there were so many awesome bloggers to include.

I'd like to thank Dante, Daisy Boo and Sampson for The Versatile Blogger Award.
What To Do...

The rules for the Versatile Blogger Award are as follows:
1. Thank the award giver and link back in your post
2. Share 7 things about your self
3. Pass this award to as many as 15 blogs you enjoy reading and let them know about the award!

1. Done.

2. Let me see... I think I'll share about me and my pack rather than myself alone.
a. My pack is composed of 4 dogs and 3 humans. The oldest in the pack is Brother Dog a.k.a BD. Next there is Coal, Ginger and Peanuts.
b. My mom doesn't allow all of them inside the house, so I had to bargain for Peanuts to sleep in my room. Good thing she has a soft heart, she just loves Peanuts all the same.
c. The three other dogs stay on the balcony. The entrance to our house has an extension which is made of bamboo, this is where they usually stay.
d. Peanuts does not leave the room whenever I'm asleep except for potty trips. My mom keeps on laughing at this fact.
e. I currently have more than a dozen tabs open to finish the creation of this post.
f. Brother Dog hasn't allowed a human near him ever since he stayed here.
g. All our dogs are currently from our neighbors, except for Peanuts.

3. Lastly, I'd like to share this award with the following blogs.

White Dog Diary Online- Here you'll read about the accounts Siku and her White Dog Army (WDA). Although I'm not sure if all of them came from Rescue but I'm sure Nuka was.

Bichonpawz - LadyBug, Chloe and their mommy's adventures all in one package. Bichon Frise Overload!

Catachresis - You'd think I'd get enough of Austin after giving them their second award. Well, Carolyn, this is for you- since Austin doesn't want to get cuddled and simply because you're a stats-a-holic.

K-9 Katastrophie - Versatility doesn't get better than this. Want to read about the blogging turtle asking females confidently out... K-9 Katastrophie is the place. Although I'm not sure they'd respond to this since their mom is pretty busy taking a double major at the moment.

Some Thoughts About Dogs - If you want to know more about dogs, check out Tegan's blog about her training experiences and other hot topics when it comes to dog ownership such as breeding, de-sexing, dog anatomy. You name it, she's probably discussed about it.

Yuki and Rocket- Yuki is the diva of the two. Her mom loves to bake cookies both for humans and dogs. Both Yuki and Rocket are schnauzers which I just adore so much.

Life in the Doghouse- Magic's mom brings them to schnauzer clubs and they have the Sausage race...I don't what else to say but I found this really hilarious just imagining it.

Nola, thanks for this One Lovely Blog Award.

This award was purposely made to recognized the efforts of fellow bloggers and let them know that their work are appreciated... and awesome!!!

When I Grow Up I Want to be a Vet- Little comic strips about Doc's life as a veterinarian.

Animal Shelter Volunteer Life- I know that most of us are dog lovers here. But I'm sure you guys also have hearts for adoptable kitties.

Living With 6 Hamsters (And 2 Dogs) - Enjoy a day in the life of Wawa and Coco. Tooki is from Asia like me and Wawa is a stray dog she adopted.

A Dog Named Muffin- This is Muffin's blog. She's a Shih-Tzu and she definitely reminds me of Buchi. The one staying with my sister.

Brown Dog CBR- This is Hawky's blog. He's a retriever. I especially enjoy his blog because he when he usually forgets to reply to the comments, he will make a post about it.
