Haopee and the Pack Pupdates

Dear Friends,

Sorry! Sorry! Sorry! We miss you soooo much and hope to visit every single one this week.

Suffice it to say, our offline life has been eating up so much of our day. Terms like non-taxable incentives, government deductions, and gross taxable income used to be foreign to me. Now, I have to entertain the idea of it like it's my long-time best friend.

Accounting is really hard...
On the bright side, the dogs are always by my side when I exercise every other morning. And when I say "by my side", we're literally face-to-face as I proceed with my routine--them being my fitness coaches.

Please give time to get back to all of you. I know it's been such a hectic 2015. 2016 is no different. I still hope that I could catch up with everyone even with my long absence.

Regards,

Haopee and the Pack

Happy New Year to All Our Bloggy Friends

We know we haven't had that much time to blog.
2014 was a whirlwind of chores, new responsibilities, and out-of-this world experiences
We, the pack and I, would like to thank our online and offline friends.

Somepuppy fears the loud boom-boom of fireworks.
Because of this blog, we've found wonderful cat & dog people...
Because of this blog, we've helped a few people having dog-related problems...
Because of this blog, we've added funny Asti to our family.

Twinpuppy (Puppy-looking girl dog) is his complete opposite. She's not afraid of the fireworks.
We are definitely very, very, very thankful.

Belated Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year

Feeling Blessed: Dog Food and Schnauzer Parcel

We Got a Schnauzer Package!

We got a package from our dear friend, Magic. It was real sweet of Magic and her mom to include Asti in their letter. The squeaking duck is driving them crazy, by the way.

Thanks Magic and Mom L from Life in the Doghouse for the wonderful presents.
We got ourselves a nice schnauzer schnauzer pin and keychain. We even have a schnauzer pad to match the pretty pins. Now, I feel like a bonafide schnauzer fan! HAHAHA

Switching Shih Tzu Diets

I did mention about changing Buchi's diet.
Two weeks ago, we started him on Eagle Pro. So far, he's responded positively to it. He's more active. As for the skin condition, it didn't seem to get worse--neither did it get better.

However, we also had him groomed, so it may be a major factor as to why he looks better these days.

Eagle Pro Original Herring for Buchi, Micodine Anti-Fungal Shampoo for Asti,  Le Salon Groomer's Scissors for Chooey
After talking to Dr. MSB about Eagle Pro, she suggested we give Lamb and Rice a try because Eagle Pro's main ingredient is fish. It could worsen his skin condition.

Eagle Pro's Original Herring's ingredients include:
Herring, White Fish Meal, Pork Meal, Pure Pearled Barley, Brown Rice, Natural Fish Oil (Preserved with Natural Mixed Tocopherols), Flaxseed Oil, Sunflower Oil, Avocado Oil, Green Peas, Cranberries, Blueberries, Tomatoes, Carrots, Kelp, Alfalfa, Glucosamine, Parsley Leaf, Chondroitin, Rosemary Extract, Yucca Schidigera Extract, Lecithin, Choline Chloride
So, for the next two weeks, we will be trying Holistic Recipe, whose main ingredient include Lamb Meal, Brown Rice, Barley, and Ground Corn (shoot, I didn't notice the corn before!).
Here's an excerpt from a letter sent by the company that makes Holistic in response to the green tea in dog food concern.
Holistic Recipe is one of the best Lamb & Rice formulas for dogs. It contains lamb as the only animal protein source and excludes the possible allergens for dogs, such as beef, egg, fish, wheat, corn, etc. Besides, it's naturally preserved with vitamin E & C, not to mention the anit-free-radicals function from green tea.
What do you think, guys? Which is better between the two?

Adventures of Bloggyville's Pirate King Frankie

There once was a pirate king named Frankie.
He paid some dubloons to get a map of the treasury.
He summoned all his crew and set forth to the city.
They all dressed as wenches and pretended to be pretty

He went to The Cove to set out his elaborate plan
To steal the guard's key to unlock treasures of man.
As they sang and pretended to be merry,
One guard found of the pirate king's identity.

So he screamed "Pirate!" but nobody listened
All his men were too drunk, too wasted to care
The pirate king Frankie approached this sole guard
And booped his head to keep his vocal chords barred.

With the key at hand and a crew behind,
Pirate King Frankie left the tavern, no worries in mind
He went to the bank and unlocked the safe
Stealing a precious cargo of hotdogs and beef.

We know we aren't always there to send you our paws and prayers, but we truly hope you're all better now, Frankie--for life, for good. Cheers to our Bloggyville Community. Cheers to Frankie's Day!

Mischief Master Class: A Case of Mistaken Doggy Identity

As we've mentioned earlier, we finally received our Mischief Master Class book. Yes, Chooey and Buchi... errr Peanuts... are famous.

Even in Snoopy's absence, this book is up to mischief! LOL

By the way, Peanuts is doing pretty well with my beau. This picture was taken last June when I visited her to see how my soul dog was. Apparently, I'm no longer her first love. She only allows pretty pictures when my beau holds the camera.

Christmas Mails...Doggy Mails...Presents in Mails

So it's the middle of January and I have now gathered all the mail I got for Christmas. Before anything else, I would like to thank everybody- dogs, cats, and polar bears-alike that has sent me Christmas cards. I would also like to thank Jazzi's mom and friends for facilitating 2012's Christmas card exchange. I truly hope that everybody participating received their cards from our pack.

See what I mean about the Sanrio Polar Bear? Thanks, Furries of Whisppy mom!

You'd never guess whose card that Golden Retriever puppy came from! LOL. Thanks, Austin and Caro of CATachresis... And lastly, the pretty red one (on the top left corner) is from Magic of Life in the Doghouse.

Here's another group.  I divided them into two groups to showcase each and everyone. ^______^

Next, we finally received our new Pet Hub tag from PetHub. We would like to thank Pam and Oskar of Pet Blogs United for sponsoring the Christmas giveaway to which we got our pretty PetHub Tag. Also, thank you, Miss Lorien  and PetHub staffies for responding to our queries and facilitating its delivery to us.

Check out their Pet Hub found me success stories.

Tune in next time for our compilation of online cards. Hopefully, I haven't left anyone behind.

A Beautiful Friendship is What We Have With All of You

This year, a lot of things have happened. We have received so much - from heartwarming comments to beautiful personalized cards to tiny packages in the the mail. We thank all of you for this.

We recently won a very pretty LED collar from Lisa of DogsnPawz. Since it's only open for US residents, we decided to have it sent to Bella.

Beauty is when you give something special to someone special and they look pretty wearing it.

We would like to thank My Favorite Petshop for sponsoring Lisa's Giveaway that had us won the LED collar.

Each buyer has a personal account where they can track the items' whereabouts.
Their site also sends the tracking number for the shipment to update their customers of the purchased product's current status.

Flea from Dog Treat Web also sent us a Kong keychain which we got from the mail last week. It's now hanging safely beside my clicker keychain.

Thanks, Flea. I promise to never call you using your old lady name!

This blog hop is brought to you by Sugar. She's not only hosting this "This Moment See Beautiful" blog hop but for each one who joins the hop, Sugar will be donating $1 (up to $100!) to St. Anne's Center, The Lantern House : Pet Area!

Mischief Monday: Catching Up

Well, this is more of an update rather than a separate Mischief Monday post. Of course, we will be tackling multiple mischievous events including my non-stop cough.

Mischief 1: I am still sick. After 3 days of body chills and aches, my sickness has died down to a non-stop cough-a-thon. SO WHO LET THE DOGS OUT?

Mischief 2: Guess who's up to mischief? My housemates! The mailman actually dropped by our house last December 5 with three letters from the card exchange list. My housemates didn't accept the mail because they weren't familiar with the names on the list... I mean, DUH, WHO WOULD SEND MAILS TO CHOOEY, RIGHT?

Mischief 3: I almost lost track of the awards being given to me by Lisa of DogsnPawz. Cotton also gave a very sweet award. THANK YOU TO THE BOTH OF YOU.

Before we go to those awards, here's a short intermission number from my one and only Chooey.

Back to our regular programming...

This Super Sweet Blogging Award is from our good old friend Lisa of DogsNPawz
The rules of this award state that...
  1. Give credit to the blog which nominated you.
  2. Answer the “Super Sweet” Questions.
  3. Pass award on to a baker’s dozen.
Questions:

Cookies or Cake? Cake!
Chocolate or vanilla?  Chocolate
What is your favorite sweet treat?  Polvoron! It's a Filipino delicacy made of milk, peanuts(sometimes) and peanut butter. (You could click on the link for its homemade recipe.)
When do you crave sweet things? Ask and I'll have to kill you
If you had a sweet nickname what would it be?  Chocolate (for Buchi), why? Because he's deadly and lethal.

I'm using the "Sick Card" for the Baker's dozen for now.

The Friendly Blogger Award was given to us by Cotton  and we'd like to thank HIM for that.
Phew! Finally, we are back in business. I hope I don't miss Wordless Wednesday. In the mean time, please drop by Snoops blog as his Mischief Master Class is now on paperback.

Family Friday: Death and Rebirth

I had planned to talk about Caoimhe's passing a week ago. I felt guilty for not being there for Magic's mums and the entire pack during such a devastating ordeal.

Thank you for posting this in your blog, Magic.

I truly hope that their hearts have healed and mended after having to do that heart-wrenching decision.

On a more lighter note, still related to Magic, I have sewn Timothy the Turtle back to life. He was one of the first toys we ever got and coming from Magic, nonetheless.

He was ripped apart by Peanuts and Ginger a couple of months ago, so I took the liberty of  taking him with me so he can live a longer and happier life with Chooey.

Minus the squeaker, plus a couple of Frankenstein stitches and VIOLA! Timothy is ALIIIIVEEE!!!
