This is where we currently live. During days where we have a high tide, the river overflows towards our home.
Our house is elevated because when it was built, my mom didn't have enough finances to spend on land filling. Truth be told, I often enjoy watching the sea water around our tiny home. Good thing it only comes twice or thrice a month.
Happy Word...ummm Wednesday!
Oh wow, must be interesting to see! Stay dry!
ReplyDeleteNow how neat is that!!!! (Butt where do ya go potty??)
ReplyDeleteThey are indoor potty trained. But the ocean only comes during the high tide. When it's a low tide, they can run around and take a stroll outside.
DeleteThat is amazing. That's one of the cool things about blog friends! You learn about interesting things :D
ReplyDeleteWyatt and Stanzie
Wow, could your house maybe float you over to our house? BOL
ReplyDeleteWoos - Phantom, Thunder, Ciara, and Lightning
Unfortunately not. Our house is on top of big bamboo (because they last longer on salt water) and cemented posts. But that would be nice ^^
DeleteIt must be fun to watch!
ReplyDeleteCool the ocean comes to you , how lucky is that and I bet the sounds and the smells are great!
ReplyDeleteBest wishes Molly
That must be fun! An ocean right at your doorstep!
ReplyDeleteVery cool! Hearing the sounds of the ocean and smelling the ocean breeze. Must be nice! Peanuts, very good job in translating into puppy language for Chooey. :->
ReplyDeleteSo, if you put up a few sails on your house can you sail on over to play with me? But be careful and don't fall out the window. I wouldn't want a shark to snack on you! BOL!
Suka
Please! No sharks! We're scared of sharks! We only have small fishies with long snouts/ noses that come visit us when the high tides come. And we also have crabs, by the way.
DeleteWow, that is amazing to have the sea right under the house - do you ever see any fish or crabs?
ReplyDeleteDip Bridge and Elliot x
Yes we do. But we cannot eat them because they eat garbage and potty stuff. So they aren't... edible.
DeleteWow! You live on the ocean!
ReplyDeleteLicks,
Ruthie
Nope, we just live on an On and Off ocean. The downside of it is that whenever there's a high tide, we can't leave the house or we have to wear boots just to reach the road.
DeleteCOOL! Like your very own houseboat!
ReplyDeletegreat photos and post!
How pawsome to have an ocean under your house!!
ReplyDelete~Higgins
Whoa! That is quite the sight!
ReplyDeleteWe've never seen such a view! Just wow!
ReplyDeleteMomo & Pinot
Goodness! You are living in an interesting place! Love the dogs chat lol
ReplyDeleteBOL so wise, Peanuts!
ReplyDeleteNola
That's pretty amazing. Hope the water stays under your house and never overflows into your house.
ReplyDeleteYour pal, Pip
We are not sure we would like that on the high seas experience. Hard to do zoomies...and momma would probably not like the afterwards mud! Peanuts, you sounded like a scholar!
ReplyDeleteShe does, doesn't she? Like what Nola said.
DeleteWell, we don't have mud because there's grass growing all the time. So no muddy soil... just grass after the high tide resides.
Thank you for sharing this with us- about your world.
ReplyDeleteI love the ocean,,, but never thought of it being under my house.
My ocean roars and I bet yours whispers.
love
tweedles
That sounds just beautiful. Do you love falling asleep listening to the sounds of the waves?
ReplyDeleteLove,
Teddy Bear & Sierra
Wow, that is really cool! I guess if this happens from time to time, it's a good thing that your house is elevated, right?
ReplyDeleteHey, we have an award for you at my blog!
ReplyDeleteLicks,
Ruthie
That's awesome...your very own ocean :)
ReplyDeletethats kinda cool, but at the same time would freak me out! how close to the river do you live? it reminds me of how living in venice would probably be like.
ReplyDeleteThat's pretty cool, actually! I'm surprised the dogs don't get a little freaked out by it.
ReplyDeleteThat is SO strange, but I suppose you are used to it. What about all your stuff outside and cars and stuff?!
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend!
Slobbers
P.s sorry we are SO behind on catching up with your blogs, live has a habit of getting in your way! :(
How cool! We love the ocean and listening to the waves at night. Where about do you live (if you don't mind)? Do you have to worry about hurricanes? How high up in the air are you?
ReplyDeleteOh Wow! I'd LOVE to have an ocean under my house! I would be swimmin' in it all the time!
ReplyDeleteThat is SO cool!!!!
ReplyDeleteThat is amazing! I will remember this when I see the ocean!
