Dog Project: The Bed!

Yes, dear friends and fellow bloggers! I have hand-sewn a bed for Peanuts because the one I bought seemed to be a bit too small.

So with my imperfect skill in sewing, I took out some old pillows, tear it up and steal some stuffing from it. Then, I began sewing the old cloth in different horizontal sections.

LOL. That's the straightest I could get because the stuffing was already in the case before I did the sewing.

You made this for ME!?!?
And here's my finished product... Oh, it's just so embarrassing!

Haopee: Yes, Peanuts. I made it for for you.

She actually slept in this position for a good 30 minutes, which made me really happy that she seemed to have enjoyed the pillow.

For REALS?!? I love you! (And she licks my hand *^_^* )
 Haopee: YES!

It was a little dark when I took the picture so it's not a surprise that the photos turned out this way. I hope you could bear with them.

These are my first and second sweater creations. Let's hope the next one gets better than these two.

Sweater Project 2

Last time, I was talking about creating Coal a doggy sweater. My first creation was ever so awful. It was too small for him that the supposedly arm holes couldn't even get pass the collar area.

So, I made another one in less than a day but this time it was too big for him. After walking him a little wearing the twice-the-size sweater, I finally took it off. But not before taking a picture of the Coal, the precious flower.

Hope it brightens up your day like it did mine.

Christmas Present for Coal: Insert

Rabies is a four post topic, so I'm just going to insert this new tidbit about my newest project. I know how boring talking about Rabies is anyway.

Last night, it was so cold that I couldn't help but consider making a sweater for Coal. I also feel a bit sad because he doesn't have Milk or Bob to spend Christmas with. Added with a little guilt made me decide to take out my knitting needle and start creating the "rainbow sweater".

It's not perfect as I haven't crocheted for years now. But it doesn't look that bad either.

I'm hoping to get this done within the next couple of days (or probably tomorrow). I'll definitely post some pictures of it soon.

By the way, here's the style I followed. It's the easiest pattern I could find.

I'm coming hoooommmmeee!!!

I can't wait to come home and see how Milk and Coal are doing. I have some bad news about Bob but I don't want to spoil my getting back with my own pack because of it yet.

I'll be definitely finishing the Dog House project. All I need to do is add a little roof made of tarpaulin because the base shelter is already covered with G.I. sheet. The tarpaulin is just to protect them from direct sunlight once they get out into the tiny balcony to sunbathe.

I miss my dogs very much. I miss how Milk licks my hand and stays still when I give her a good old doggy back rub. I also miss how Coal would look at me with his big brown eyes wondering why I am holding the doggy dropper with yellow liquid (a syringe without the needle containing their vitamins) secured between my index and middle finger.

I haven't posted as many pictures these past days because I still haven't watermarked them yet. Thank you for bearing with me.

Building my Dogs a Playpen

Yesterday, I made plans of creating a mini playground for my three dogs. It's not much but we've decided to build it ourselves. Yes, two people who have no whatsoever carpentry experience with the exception of hammering some nails on the wall and patching up wooden furniture.

This was my initial sketch last night. I know it sucks, but I'm hoping the outcome wouldn't turn out as bad.

Since Shark died, I did not allow Milk and Coal to occupy the dog house because the substance that poisoned Shark has never been identified. Yesterday, we've finally moved its position to where we plan to build the mini-playground. It's nothing that special- just a large play pen where they can enjoy since I can't have them running around the neighborhood.

We're taking the construction a couple hours at a time-specifically only during weekends, 2 hours in the morning and 2 hours in the afternoon before the it gets dark. Our tentative finishing date will be two weeks from now.
