Buchi's Touchy Thursday

Remember me posting about the two hour grooming session... Well, this cut took me four hours to finish- with breaks in between. Still, four hours for one little Shih-Tzu is like forever. With an extra slow clipper, a pair of scissors and an inexperienced groomer, I think I did okay.

  1. You did a fine job! As long as Buchi wasn't stressed out, it doesn't matter how long it took. :)

    1. He wasn't. He actually had a great time getting groomed because Rin was with him all the time... and that's his center of attention.

I didn't clip him too long.. we had multiple breaks so he can stretch out and roam around.

  2. Oh Buchi you are so cute - that's quite a haircut! It's much too cold here for such a cut - we'd all be in our jumpers BOL Magic xx

    1. It's completely the opposite, back where I live. I actually got sun burned that day- on my back- because the temperature reach 40+ degrees Celsius

    1. Thanks. We had a pretty slow clipper where we had to do repetitions to get the smooth finish and I did a tiny lion cut on the head... I need more practice though. ^_^

    1. You know, I'm actually truly... considering that. I've been reading about different grooming styles... but then... it's probably something I'll seriously do in another lifetime. LOL.

    1. My first try... when Buchi was still 4 months old had been to die for- I mean figuratively... of embarrassment.

  13. 4-5 hours is actually not uncommon at professional groom shops if you include bath and blow dry.

  14. Aww, he got shaved down so much. I'm glad you left his face in tact though.
You did an awesome job. Just like if a groomer did it!!!!

You should teach my Mama your grooming tips so she can save money instead of sending me to groomers.
