Dog News Friday: Trigger Happy Police Killing Innocent Dog

A few months ago, I posted about the Border Collie mix who was shot by a policeman after being mistaken for a Pitbull. ( Yeah, right! And Molly is the queen of England!).

Well, it doesn't stop here, folks! Recently another news pertaining to police brutality (and STUPIDITY, if you ask me) has emerged.

According to 9News, the dog named Chloe was tased, noosed and shot to death. The story began when a neighbor called 9-1-1 to report an unknown dog in the neighborhood. According to Kenny Collins, he did not expect something like this to happen as he just wanted the loose Chloe to be taken away. While they were trying to decide what to do with the dog, Chloe just sat there. But then, they tased her... and used a catch pole (which she tried to break loose from)... and got shot multiple times.

What made this story worst is that the cops had the audacity to justify their action by saying that they were attacked reason why they had to do what they did. Unfortunately for them, someone was filming what actually transpired that day.

Warning: This video is graphic.

  1. This kind of stuff just enrages me! I have to admit, I did not watch the video, because I know it would just upset me even more. That poor doggy! I'm glad someone caught it on video, and I hope those officers get MUCH trouble for abusing their power.

  12. This horrible event is not isolated and the communities do not seem to get the point that their policeforce needs to be better trained on how to deal with these situations. If it were children getting "accidently" shot, the outrage would force BIG changes. the problem is legally dogs don't count for much. We must become a voice to change things.
