The morning had already felt awful and now I just discovered my newest puppy dead. We've spent so much just to keep him alive. We even brought him to the vet and bought all the prescribed medicines because when we got him, he and his sister had so many worms. I thought he would survive now after that. His sister died on her 2nd day with us.
I thought I was out of my mind spending so much for a mongrel or askal (the term more widely familiar here) but I told myself, if he were to survive, no amount of money would be able to buy my happiness. And he did last for more than a month longer. He was still weak because of the long term worm infestation but he walked, run, played a little and slept alot. He'd look up at me with big puppy eyes which used to be dull because of the blood worms.
Dash was a charming little thing. He always liked sleeping in my room during the mornings and afternoons and yesterday he even slept on top of my feet. There were instances we'd catch him looking up in the skies like Fievel if the American Tail.
I thought I was just paranoid for noticing he wasn't pooping. We were planning to bring him to the vet this afternoon but... he died...
Off the topic, some people just have all the luck. They do bad things to themselves. They smoke, drink alcohol, do drugs and hurt themselves but they don't get taken. The worst part is they try to convince themselves that people without vices live shorter than those that do. Reality bites but today, reality kissed my Dash goodbye.
